Support of several source media
First, you need to select the source medium where the files you want to recover are stored. IsoBuster supports multiple types of devices, such as CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives, and even floppies.
Moreover, you can select a wide range of image files from your PC, like ISO, CUE, BIN, IMG, DMG, CDI, MDF, VHD, VDI, VDMK, as well as several specialized files generated by popular game consoles (PlayStation, Wii, Atari ST, Xbox, Amiga or Dreamcast).
If you plan on using IsoBuster to retrieve data from more than one source medium, you can easily access them once more at a later time using the recently open list.



Data Recovery From Hard Drive:

IsoBuster has been designed to recover data from all possible Hard Drives, including devices that behave like Hard Drives but are really Solid State Memory, such as SSD Drives. IsoBuster 5.2 was released today.

It features a lot of new functionality again. It can now open spanned files and drives, in various combinations as image files, and it can clone huge drives (for instance) to several spanned drives (and/or files). Also pretty cool is the support for many new image file formats, most of them compressed, such as *.imgc, *.iso.gz, *.isz, *.cso, *.vcd, *.zso and more. And then there's extraction of Mac style files and their Finder properties to 'Apple Single' or 'Apple Double'. There is actually a lot more to check out

How to Use the program to recover your data?

First insert a disc, USB stick or memory card then start up IsoBuster and select the drive or media (if not selected already) and let IsoBuster mount the media. Next, IsoBuster will show you all the partitions or tracks and sessions located on the media, combined with all file systems that are present. You will get easy access to all the files and folders per file system , just like explorer. You will have access to "the complete picture" instead of being limited to one file system picked by the OS for you. 

You can easily get access data from older sessions or hidden partitions and access data that your computer OS does not see or hides from you. If it doesn't immediately show the files you're after, right mouse click the top most icon in the left pane and select "Find missing files and folders". A full medium scan will then reveal the missing data, even based on file signatures.

Once you find data you want to recover, you'll have several options to choose from to help you get the best results. This includes just saving the files or folders to a location of your choosing, or choosing to extract the raw data

My Experience in Using IsoBuster 5:

I have tried using IsoBuster 5 on my computer to see if it will recover many lost data on CDs, DVDs, Flash drives. IsoBuster worked very well in my test. It successfully recovered data from my collection of damaged CDs, DVDs, bad flash drives and hard drives. The program was quick, and easy to use.
The program searches for available drives and displays the options once opened. I was able to extract many data present on an old CD/DVD that I thought I have lost forever.

I also had a problem with one of the USB hard drive with loss of many important data. The system showed an error message that the disk must be formatted before using it. I tried to use isobuster which to my surprise was able to do successful recovery of many important data. In addition, the program helped to recover most data from an accidentally formatted Flash Drive. I can restore many precious photos and books
