Windows 11 noticeably increases the hardware requirements. Not all devices that run with Windows 10 also automatically work with Windows 11. In a study, the Lansweeper company examined around 30 million PCs for their compatibility with Windows 11. The bitter result: millions of PCs do not meet the hardware requirements.

The biggest hurdle seems to be a compatible CPU, which over 55 percent of the PCs surveyed lack. After that, missing TPMs and insufficient RAM prove to be further stumbling blocks for a Windows 11 update.

You only have to start the portable program and it will display a detailed overview. Small info buttons provide more information about the individual checkpoints on request.

Green entries show if the components are fit for Windows 11. Red entries stand for areas in which the system requirements for Windows 11 are not met. Orange fields with question marks symbolize possible incompatibilities. These are currently mainly found in entries relating to processors.
