Better than the Microsoft Store: Ingenious software hub for Windows
Most Windows users simply ignore the Microsoft Store. But installing Windows programs individually is cumbersome and takes time. The "Windows Package Manager" also comes from Microsoft and is the better store.

Instead of the unloved Microsoft Store, there has been a nice bonus for Windows 10 and Windows 11 for some time, which Linux fans should have known for a long time: A package manager with which numerous programs can be installed via command line. About the Windows Package Manager aka WinGet, install and manage thousands of programs.

With a package manager, searching for the right tools through the Microsoft Store or on the web is a thing of the past. With a simple command, software can be installed directly - not only individually, but also with many tools at once. However, the operation requires a safe handling of the command line - this should please the fewest users.

But for all command line muffles there is already help: With Winstall use the package manager completely without command line.
