Is Kaspersky safe to use?

I've used Kaspersky for over 12 years but removed it a few weeks ago. I don't trust the software being it's a Russian program and you just don't know what will happen.

I used the program a while ago.I have since moved on to something that's not as resource hungry.

Same thing as Chinese Softwares. Be very careful.
