Samsung and Microsoft announced a partnership that will benefit both Samsung fans and gamers alike. Under the agreement, Xbox will provide owners of Samsung’s The Frame TV with game artwork from some of its most iconic titles.
Dubbed “Xbox Through The Years,” the new bundle includes a collection of iconic gaming artwork available exclusively via The Frame Art Store. Although you won’t be playing games directly on the Frame TV, having 4K artwork from popular Microsoft games displayed on its screen feels just as important for a true gamer.
“We’re proud to introduce the first-ever curated gaming collection in The Frame’s Art Store and invite Frame owners to show it all off in exceptional QLED picture quality. The Frame is designed to let you share who you are and what you love—and our latest collaboration with Xbox gives gamers the chance to continue doing just that,” said Grace Dolan, Vice President of Home Entertainment Integrated Marketing at Samsung Electronics America.
Halo, BioShock, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Microsoft Flight Simulator are some of the games that will have their artwork displayed on Samsung’s The Frame, but other franchises are included in The Frame Art Store in case you’re looking for other titles.
“Our partnership with Samsung allows Frame owners to take a trip through Xbox history and celebrate their favorite games through breathtaking graphic art. We’re excited with ‘Xbox Through the Years’ to continue building on our years of successful collaboration with Samsung, now around Xbox Series X, Xbox’s fastest and most powerful console ever,” said Marcos Waltenberg, Director of Xbox Global Partnerships.
Currently, The Frame Art Store allows subscribers to display over 1,400 works of art, from contemporary photography to impressionist masterpieces, all curated by experts. Of course, the collection is constantly getting bigger as Samsung signs new partnerships with more artwork providers.
