But lifetime needs to be confirmed as the support team usually offers 1 year updaes licenses
But you can use the last version without limits

I think they are for lifetime use for version 5.3x.
If they update to 5.4 it may not be eligible for that.

That's what I think also "perpetual license "
You will have all updates for version 5.3 (5.31,....)
But if a major new version 5.4 , the license will not work if you upgrade

tarekma7, is the same I won here, I asked WinRAR support and they told me is lifetime for 5.3x.
so it supposed to be like that.

Just to share. 

That was the same thing that Ms. Angela Weiske told me when I won a 5.2x license. Unless it is specifically stated there (on the host forum/blog) that it can be used for major upgrades, it is just tied to that minor updates of WinRAR5.3x.

To share a quote from her email message, 

The license is for all WinRAR 5.2x versions. So minor upgrades are included, major
upgrades not. It is a perpetual license, which will work lifetime, so you can also use it when
WinRAR 5.3x or higher is released. It has been stated also in the contest rules that the
license is for WinRAR 5.2x. If there is a major release and you cannot upgrade anymore,
you have still the option to ourchase our Annual maintenance package to upgrade to the
latest version. If you should have any further questins, please let me know.
