Question about Windows 10 Recovery Options?
#1
I want to ask about the best choice to recover windows 10 Pro in case I have updated and any problems occur

I see there is built-in option to create system image, is it enough to restore system with all files and applications?

Or another software is better (for example Macrium, acronis.....)

Any advise please?

Creating Acronis image is best and quickest option according to me. I've been using it for more than 10 years now and it never dissapointed me!

I am also always counting on Acronis TrueImage besides copying important data files to external HDD.

Simple advice.  Rollback RX.  A small program that takes snapshots of systems in a matter of seconds. You can install different software on different pictures. One click of a button, and you rolled over the system to the basic installation of Windows. I have been using it for three years, during this time, Windows has never reinstalled.

the backup can be done with windows 10, but the recovery will not work, that's my experience, effectively, Microsoft has eliminated it.
so I recommend Acronis, Macrium or any other good program.
if the acronis cd boot does not work well, you must create the cd boot winpe of acronis.

for very fast restore which i done very time on win7 is
RegBak i used this not updated but i think work perfectly on win10
or Registry Backup   seems newest version work like above program
basically before installing program or windows updated take backup of registry
if you are unable to boot go to recovery console then you c drive should be D: or something other thatn c
then go to 'D:\Windows\RegBak find latest cmd file and excute it it will restore registry
this good too for when system restore fails

I can find the built-in microsoft utility for image creation. But is it enough to completely restore everything in case of update problems?

Also which is best for image creation and restore:

Macrium
Acronis
O&O DiskImage
