Microsoft to release plenty of new stuff this week

The time has come for Microsoft to finally take the wraps off the new Windows 10 Spring Creators Update, but at the same time, this OS feature release coincides with the debut of new cumulative updates for Windows 10.
These two moments make this week one of the most important so far for Microsoft and its users, especially for those on Windows 10.
First and foremost, it’s the new Spring Creators Update, codenamed Redstone 4, which should get the go-ahead on April 10 for the first wave of systems. The new OS will go live for PCs across the world in stages, as Microsoft uses this approach to improve performance and reliability and fix compatibility issues based on data provided by computers as they are upgraded.
In other words, not everyone is going to get the Spring Creators Update today, but on the other hand, manual download methods will be available for more tech-savvy users who don’t want to wait any longer. This means that should any issues be experienced, these early adopters of the Spring Creators Update would have to fix them on their own for the time being, at least until Microsoft ships a fix.

In addition to the Spring Creators Update, Microsoft will also release new cumulative updates for the existing versions of Windows 10.
This will take place as part of the monthly Patch Tuesday cycle, and has become one critical moment for IT admins across the world, as cumulative updates include security fixes and OS improvements that bring systems completely up-to-date.
In the past, however, installing cumulative updates has proved to be particularly troublesome, as they caused various issues that led to failed installs or broken OS features.
It remains to be seen how smooth the rollout will be this month, but without a doubt, Microsoft will have plenty of work to do this week to make sure everything goes according to the plan.
