Overview:

A watermark is text or an image that is displayed either on top or behind PDF document contents. It gives the look of a stamp. The main difference is that a watermark is integrated into PDF pages as a fixed element while a stamp is PDF comment which can be opened to display a text annotation, move, change, or delete. But why you need to add watermark to your document? Simply this will protect your copyrights using visible watermarks. In addition, it adds professionalism and prevents against others from presenting your work as their own.
You can create watermarks with file names, company logos, signatures and product pictures, etc. For example, you could apply a “Confidential” watermark to pages with sensitive information or specify the page range on which watermark will appear. You can add multiple watermarks each one separately. Also, you can watermark many PDFs documents at the same time.
This can be done using many software or online websites, one of these simple and professional applications is uMark PDF Watermarker
