Windows 10 Spring Creators Update has been delayed, and while Microsoft remained tight-lipped on the reason for this decision and the new ETA, it’s believed the go-ahead would be given in the coming weeks by the end of April.
This means we’re still very close to the moment the Spring Creators Update would go live, and it’s important for Windows 10 users to prepare their systems for the upgrade.
As I’ve said, the rollout of Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will take place in stages, so not everyone will get it on day one. This is because Microsoft wants to collect data from the first waves of PCs getting the update and then address compatibility issues and bugs to provide a smoother upgrade process for everyone else.
As it happens every time new OS feature updates are released, there’ll be lots of users who’ll want to install the Spring Creators Update manually without waiting, and for them, it’s critical to prepare the systems in advance.
First of all, make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. Upgrading manually could cause issues that you might not be able to fix and the system might not boot at all.
Double-check that you have enough storage. As said, Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will require at least 16GB of storage, but it’s recommended to have at least twice as much to be sure everything downloads and installs correctly.
