Three friends go to a restaurant and eat.
When the waiter brings the bill, they have to pay $30.00. Each of the friends gives the waiter $10.00. They say goodbye and leave. Then the owner of the restaurant realises the bill should only be $25.00 and he asks the waiter to give the three friends the $5.00 back. The waiter thinks that $5.00 is a strange sum and decides to give each friend only $1.00 and to keep for himself $2.00, as a tip.
So each of the three friends paid only $9.00. 3x9 is 27, $2.00 are in the waiter´s pocket. Where is the missing dollar?
