"This may be hard to believe, we don’t spend a lot of time talking about or thinking about President Trump here," says Jen Psaki. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Joe Biden’s team doesn’t spend their time thinking about President Trump and doesn’t “miss him” on Twitter.
When asked during a press briefing Monday whether Trump’s absence from social media has made GOP negotiations easier for Democrats in Congress, Psaki shot down the notion that Trump has any political impact at all. “This may be hard to believe, we don’t spend a lot of time talking about or thinking about President Trump here – former President Trump, to be very clear,” Psaki said.
“That’s a question that is probably more appropriate for Republican members who are looking for ways to support a bipartisan package, and whether that gives them space. But I can’t say we miss him on Twitter.”
Twitter, Facebook, and Google suspended Trump in the days leading up to Inauguration Day last month, falsely accusing him of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Psaki’s remarks are indicative of the Democrats’ overall favorable attitude toward censoring political opponents.
