Anyone who’s ever experienced the shock of data loss, or had to spend hours recovering their system, will know the importance of backing up. Having a fall-back copy of both Windows – including all your favourite apps and painstakingly crafted settings – and your irreplaceable documents, media and other files is a no-brainer, but what is the best way to go out doing it?
O&O DiskImage Professional provides you with all the tools you need for backing up both individual data such as selected files and folders, plus take drive images of entire partitions and drives. While’s it’s still not a tool for complete beginners, it does provide some hints and tips to guide you towards protecting your data, and the latest version attempts to make things even easier with a redesigned dashboard-style interface.
DiskImage supports two types of images: full and incremental. You’ll need to take a full image the first time you back up a drive or partition, but once done, you’ll be able to choose the incremental option, which scans an existing full image and records only changes. It can actually take longer to back up this way, but the resulting backup files are much smaller. Incremental images can later be merged together should you wish to consolidate backups into a single file.
While O&O DiskImage Professional remains a little too technical for complete beginners, the retooled user interface does make things a little simpler for anyone with a smidgeon of experience using drive-imaging apps, and the wealth of advanced functionality should continue to attract experts looking for a disk-imaging solution with a bit more oomph.

The download link for O&O DriveImage 12 Pro is given to you above. To get your license key of O&;O DiskImage 12 Pro, click here to go to the registration page The registration page is in German but the program is in English, as long as you use the download links we provide to you above. In case you don't understand German, don't worry; there isn't much you need to do at the registration page, simply enter your email address in the IHRE E-MAIL-ADRESSE textbox and click the KOSTENLOSE LIZENZ ANFORDERN button to register. If the next page you see says VIELEN DANK FUR IHRE REGISTRIERUNG, then you have successfully registered.

Once you have registered, you need to check your email inbox for an email from O&O Software; that email will contain a link that you must click. Click the link, wait for the O&O website to load, and then go back and check your inbox for another email from O&O Software; this email will contain your license key. (It may take a few hours to get the second email. Be patient.) The email is in German, but you don't need to understand German; simply scroll to about the middle of the email and copy the license key shown next to SERIENNUMMER; that is your license key.

Once you have got your license key, download and install O&O DiskImage 12 Pro. During install, you may be asked to check for a new version or update your current version; take note this license is for O&O DiskImage 12 Pro only and if you agree to update to a later version of O&O DiskImage such as v14, then your license will not work.

Once installed, run O&O DiskImage 12 Pro and select the ENTER YOUR REGISTRATION CODE option when asked; then follow on-screen instructions to register it with the license key you were given. Take note you will need to enter your email address (the one you used earlier to get the license key) for NAME and COMPANY fields while registering the program. Enjoy!
