Nice writeup. I used to be an avid user of Firefox, before I switched over to Chrome, and although I agree, it does have a higher minimum recommended requirement, especially when it comes to memory consumption. If you meet the required specifications, it does tend to feel a little more responsive. That said, I haven't used Firefox for some time now. So maybe it has improved quite significantly since then.
