Microsoft already manages to confuse users with the many version numbers . Now Dell comes with a preview of the next XPS device and writes that Wi-Fi 7 requires Windows 11 24H1. What this means is the Windows 11 23H2 Moment 5 Update.
Because this will reach “RTM status” in February, appear as an optional update in March and be distributed to everyone on the 2nd Tuesday in April. What remains interesting is that Wi-Fi 7 will now be directly supported by Windows 11. Intel itself already has drivers that support their hardware.
Dell writes in the image that it will be pre-installed on the devices from August 2024. This means Windows 11 24H2. We already reported here that Microsoft is taking a different approach here. Windows 11 24H2 will reach “RTM status” in April and OEMs will be supplied with it from June.
The Dell devices will then be delivered with Windows 11 24H2 from August and we will have to wait a little longer until we receive it as an update around September. PS: This device also comes with a copilot button .
