Police fire on Dutch farmers protesting environmental rules

The Friesland police claim that although their gunfire struck a tractor, no one was hurt. The police detained three suspects. Given that police had fired their firearms, the Rijksrecherche, the internal investigation division of the Dutch government, declared it would look into the situation.
