People use VPN - virtual private network - for a variety of reasons. However, for many people, it is synonymous with hiding network traffic - the only thing a VPN can do. FreePN is a relatively new open source project that aims to create a free peer-to-peer VPN. Like TOR, it is decentralized.
You can download for Ubuntu and Gentoo right now. There is a way to request early access to Debian, Fedora and Arch. Versions for Windows, iOS, MacOS and Android are promised in the future.
