Microsoft has recently released the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update RTM build to users in the Release Preview ring, which is pretty much the last step the company had to complete before the public rollout begins.

Windows 10 build 17133 was released to users in the Fast ring on March 27, before being promoted to insiders in the Slow ring on March 30. Microsoft pushed the same build to the Release Preview ring on April 5, and the company says that the same gradual launch is happening here as well, as it wants to test its systems ahead of the public debut.

“We have released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17133 (RS4) to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview ring. Not all Insiders in the Release Preview ring will be immediately targeted to receive this flight. We are targeting full availability to Release Preview Monday 4/9 however if you’d like to install immediately, a manual check for updates under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update will present the build,” Microsoft says.

Staged rollout
Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will be released in stages and not everyone will get it on day one. This allows Microsoft to address the compatibility issues that some systems might hit faster, ensuring a smoother experience for everyone.

Microsoft collects information from the first devices that are getting the Spring Creators Update and then improves the upgrade process and resolves the reported bugs before new waves are started. It typically takes approximately three months to complete the rollout of a new Windows 10 feature update, so by summer, everyone should be able to get it.

Without a doubt, a way to manually download and install the Spring Creators Update will also be offered, so users who don’t want to wait will be allowed to upgrade their systems on day one as well, though they’ll have to risk hitting bugs and other issues.
