:( The PD16 key doesn't work anymore after installing, the screen says "key used too many times for activation ... contact customer services".
Indeed a look at the Comments there at GC shows the key stopped working probably over 10 hours ago despite the giveaway still having 12 hours or more to run now.

You can perhaps get a 30-day trial if there's no internet when you start the app. But obviously that's not a solution if you've applied for the free, legal licence key and it's not activating due to insufficient keys allocated.

Try this:
Disable internet
Install PowerDirector16
Do not open/launch the app yet
Open registry editor and change the value data:
 
BEFORE:
 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\PowerDirector16\UserReg] 
"Prod_Activate"="OnlineCheck"
 
AFTER:

 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\PowerDirector16\UserReg]

Open PowerDirector and enter the serial
