I am looking to cut my cable and looking for suggestions on the best streaming services. Lots of my friends at work recommend Hulu but looking at all my options.

Well it all depends what you like to watch. There are so many services nowadays and they all have some exclusive projects that they show. In my house in Portugal I have Netflix and I am happy with it. Plenty of choice there and it's always getting updated with new TV shows and movies.
