Quote:Copy files under Windows is easiest with the Windows Explorer. And in a few files and folders manageable large it works quite well. Sometimes Windows Explorer during large copy actions but quite bitchy, then breaks the write speed and the computer is once employed. If Windows Explorer is not copied as fast as you want it, you should stock up with a free file copy tool. We have measured what tools work fastest.
Windows Explorer is too slow :
Windows Explorer has two major advantages: it is already included in Windows and Microsoft can anchor it really deep into the system. Who now believes that Windows Explorer so gained a speed advantage, but mistaken. In the test, we used to copy files a different storage media, very fast external SSDs, fast external hard drives, as well as standard USB sticks. For this we combined also USB 3.0 ports with slow USB 2.0 hard drives and examined whether the use of a copy tools makes a difference here. Windows Explorer is not the slowest tool in the test, which measured 63.5 MB / s to confirm with a fast external storage. When using slow Save Windows Explorer is on par with the other file copying tools. Here one sees clearly that does not slow down the copy tool, but the hardware. From a USB 2.0 hard drive to the USB 3.0 port Windows explorer brings 34.5 MB / s, the fastest here TeraCopy with 36.7 MB / s, SuperCopier and FastCopy are even a tad behind the Explorer. But are more rapidly the external memory, the more clearly stand out the weaknesses of Windows Explorer. SuperCopier and FastCopy are about copying to an external SSD over twice as fast.
