Quote:Google has added a number of key features to its Files Go app.
The addition that’s likely to please most of the app’s user-base is improved SD card support. Those with Android devices that happen to feature expandable storage will now be able to easily switch between both storage sources with a quick tap.
Another useful tweak is the ability to select which apps open your files. Now, for example, if you select a video file, if you have multiple media player apps installed you can pick a specific application via the “Open with” option.
The final addition is support for tablets. After installing the update, users will be able to utilize Files Go’s offline sharing functionality to transfer data between a phone and tablet.
As a member of the Go app family, Files Go is technically intended for use on entry-level devices with RAM of 1 GB or less. Unlike its sister apps, however, like YouTube Go and Google Maps Go, the streamlined file manager is available for all Android users via the Google Play Store.
