DVD/BD Writer- reader Problem

My BD/DVD Drive is not working in my laptop since sometime (before formatting)

I suggest to be software problem or conflict but after the recent format of my laptop, the problem is the same

I can read CD/DVD but cannot burn or format CD/DVD

Any suggestions or help? is it a hardware problem?

not sure help you or not,its two time help me.but be careful.and it may work if your brand are in software

from menu Mode go to one of the available mode,example read
then from Tools Menu Go to Drive Menu go to Change Advanced Setting
select your type of device, then you see your option
example for Samsung select magic speed then from second drop down select high speed mode
it should be different for different model and brands
also in drive menu there are more menu you can try

I would also verify the firmware is up to date, and the DVD/BD region is set to the proper zone for where you reside. That might help clear up some lingering issues, as well.

And I would suggest to buy a new DVD/BD writer :-) After a lot of successfully burned discs my writer was only able to read CD's and DVD's.
