Microsoft tops this new Forbes research
Microsoft isn’t only valued more than Apple, but the software giant is also ranking better in a series of charts, including a recent comparison put together by Forbes.
This new research looks into the way companies align with the expectations of American companies, and as Forbes explains, it evaluates a series of factors like worker compensation, privacy data management, build quality of their products, environmental impact, commitment to ethical and diverse leadership, and job opportunities.
Microsoft is thus the leading company, followed by Intel and Google’s parent company Alphabet. Texas Instruments is fourth in the charts, while IBM, NVIDIA, and VMWare come next in this research.
Cupertino-based rival Apple is ranked 16th, while Amazon is far behind on the 30th place. Facebook is ranked 35th.
Microsoft now the world’s most valuable company
Microsoft managed to overtake Apple in late November, becoming the world’s most valuable company thanks to investments in services like cloud and Office 365.
At the same time, Apple declined substantially due to the company’s latest products, including the 2018 iPhone lineup, which has until now performed well below expectations in terms of sales worldwide. The high price of the devices was considered to be the main reason customers refused to buy new iPhones.
iPhone XS Max tops at $1,449 in the United States, while the iPhone XR, which is considered Apple’s more affordable device, starts at $749.
Apple has tried to counter the decline of the iPhone lineup with a series of changes, including more aggressive marketing and an increased focus on trade-ins in the United States.
On the other hand, Microsoft has continuously tried to change its focus to invest in enterprise solutions, ditching products that didn’t perform according to expectations, including its very own mobile platform.
