Other countries legalize homosexual marriages, which is the reason for which they wer

Governor of Bermuda (the territory of a dependent Great Britain in the Atlantic Ocean) John Rankin signed a law yesterday restoring the definition of marriage as a union of men and women. In December, the local parliament was passed, but it still required approval by the governor appointed by Queen Elizabeth II.
In the referendum held in 2016, the overwhelming majority of votes were opposed to the recognition of homosexual unions as marriages. However, in 2017 the Supreme Court legalized them by considering that the definition of marriage is 'inconsistent with the provisions of the Convention on Human Rights'.

Deputies decided to do so only half a year after recognition of the so-called Same-sex marriages by the Supreme Court there. The new law does not delegate the relationships already contained, but no longer allows them to be included in the future.
