The 20H2 update of win 10 breaks internet
#1
In many lenovo laptops using not just integrated intel wifi adapters but also usb ethernet adapters, there are frequent disconnects, no internet for 3-4 min on connecting to wifi or on login in to vpn and no way to share files over lan. Is there any fix for it. Everything works fine in update 2004

Tried that already, it doesn't work.
After upgrading from build 2004 to 20H2, there is problem obtaining ip addess
Doing network reset does allow ip address to be obtained. The router setting page opens but no website in the web can be accessed.

Refreshing the pc after that causes the problems I originally. Looking at the taskman there DNS client shows close to 25% cpu usage on a quad core cpu with 4 threads (basically 100% usage on a single thread) for the 3-4 min where the internet doesn't work and after that the usage comes down to 0-1% and then you can access websites but not shared folders on network pcs

I already tried reinstalling drivers. trying different routers, assigning manual ip address, wireless and wired both have the same prob

Running this command fixes the hign cpu usage by DNS client but vpn doesn't work if it is used
reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "4" /f

reversing the changes by running this allows vpn to run but the same problems return
reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache" /v "Start" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f
