As per the company’s typical patching cycle, the new cumulative updates are mostly focused on improving the security of Windows 10 and fixing the vulnerabilities in the operating system and the other built-in components.

According to the official changelog, most updates resolve an elevation of privilege in win32k and a problem with creating null ports using the UI.

Additionally, more security fixes are available for various OS components, as it follows:

“Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Media, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Authentication, Windows Virtualization, and Windows Kernel.”

Needless to say, all updates are available via the standard distribution channels, and these include Windows Update, WSUS, and the Microsoft Update Catalog.

At the time of writing this article, we aren’t aware of any installation issues hitting these new cumulative updates, but we’ll continue to monitor reports in this regard and let you know if such information surfaces.

The installation of cumulative updates also requires a system reboot, so make sure you save your work before beginning the updating task in your computer network.
