Sony has announced the Play at home initiative to help contain the spread of COVID-19. The company is giving away Get Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey.

Users from Germany and China will get Knack 2 and Journey for free. The rest of the World gets Uncharted and Journey.

Can I buy the games from my computer? Yes, that's what I did.



It should work from mobile too, though I didn't test it.

The giveaway runs from Thursday 16th April midnight BST / 1am CEST through Wednesday, 6th May midnight BST / 1am CEST.

You do not need PS+ to play the games. Once you have redeemed them, they're yours to keep forever. So , you can claim them now and play them when you want to.

P.S: Play the Uncharted series in the order of release, otherwise you'll miss out on references.

If you're not from Germany, you can create an account on https://www.playstation.com/de-de/ to get Knack 2 for free.

The sign up process will be in German though. But it doesn't ask you for your card, address or other personal info. Just Google for a Place (City), State and Zip Code. Use those details while signing up.

I used my real name and phone number and it accepted those. So, I got Knack 2 for free as well.

Likewise Germans can create a US or UK account to get the Uncharted collection.

Also its probably violence & stuff that got no show for German. Friend of mine got the first tier of 2K bundle & the Darkness 2 game is low violence rated. Mine is normal version.

No, Uncharted 4 is free for PS Plus users only. This giveaway is for everyone.

BTW, according to some users, Germany doesn't allow games that are 16+ rated to be given away without age verification. That's the reason why Germans got Knack 2 instead.
