Take quite a long while for the setup process. I had it installed and insert the license key it prompt up message say the product had been activated successfully. But it still show as a 30 day trial even after restart the program and rebooting my PC not sure where I did wrong but heck, had it uninstalled 
Cool. You can not activate the program, because you need to register it. In the main window of software look for a frame with the inscription register.

Click in the frame register Then you go to the page of avg.com. You will need to enter the name, email, country and sales number. Without the latter you do not activate the program.

After completing the form you will receive email updates for new license.

Thank for the info but couldn't be bothered anymore the program is not worth my time for it to be re-installed. It take system resources and process RAM quite significantly I would say so better watch out for that.

That's right, earlier versions were better. They have a friendlier interface and does not slow down the operating system.

Step 2: Activate product with license key, which you got: Name, Orgniz.., Serial number
Step 3: Register product: Product key, Name, Surname, E-mail, confirm e-mail, Country
Step 4: Download AVG 2016 newest version 16.13.1:
Install and use it. DONE

I had to clear the browser cache and remove remnants of the previous installation of AVG. Now everything works. Thank you mitxitorang.
