Notebook Players Less Aggressive to Adopt USB Type C
#1
The sources pointed to two issues that have prevented the USB Type-C interface becoming a
mainstream technology in the notebook market : Interference and Heat Problems; and Product Costs.

Firstly, the interface features electric current which is larger than one of the previous-generation interfaces,
and could lead to interference and heat dissipation problems when adopting too many at once.

Secondly, the USB Type-C features a high-speed transmission which requires an amplifier chip, a receiver chip
and a special-spec transmission wire, which significantly raise product costs.

As of now , Apple has decided to adopt the USB Type-C interface for its MacBook Air.
Asustek Computer and Hewlett-Packard (HP) are upgrading one of their notebooks' regular USB port to the Type-C.
Lenovo, Acer and Dell are still evaluating.
