Nomacs is a free image viewer for windows, linux, and mac systems. You can use it for viewing all common image formats including RAW and psd images.. During the install you can associate files to nomacs or uncheck the box if you don't want to. For the features check here.
Nomacs Viewer Synchronizer is a great feature, it allows to control multiple instant of the program silmultaneously. You can easily compare images by zooming and/or panning at the exactly same position or even by overlaying them using different opacity.
