NVIDIA Makes Available Vulkan GeForce Graphics Driver 451.74 Beta

NVIDIA has announced the availability of a new version of its Vulkan GeForce Graphics driver, namely the 451.74 build (26.21.14.5174), which adds support for VkPhysicalDeviceRayTracingFeatures KHR.rayTracingIndirectTraceRays ray tracing feature.

In addition to that, this update also include compatibility with the VK_NV_device_diagnostics_config extension, corrects pSizes parameters of vkCmdBindVertexBuffers2EXT, and resolves a potential crash in the first vkQueuePresentKHR() call.

Last but not least, NVIDIA’s 451.74 release also resolve a bug that lead to crashes in vkCmdBeginRenderPass() when using VK_EXT_sample_locations, and includes a few other changes as highlighted below.

When it comes to compatibility, the current release consists of three downloadable packages suitable for the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. Also, there is also a 450.56.01 package available that implements the same changes for Linux platforms.

Moreover, all available files can be applied to both desktop and notebook configurations. However, do not try installing these packages on OSes other than the ones mentioned above (even if it might seem to work at first), as this can lead to various malfunctions.
