been a fan since the old Championship Manager games back in the early 90's

Good to see another CM player here, Picollo 30. Been a fan of Championship Manager myself, played the 2005 version a lot. Took lowly clubs to glory in that game. Sadly that series was ended many years ago.

Football Manager on the other hand is a lot more complex. It involves deep strategies, training plans, player negotiations, etc. I wasn't really a fan of the locker room social hierarchy stuff that they added a few versions ago. But FM is meant to be difficult, plus it supports a ton of mods.
