just my 2 cents worth but I used the words software giveaway forums and found
us in 5th position on the front page



I am not an expert on these matters and don't pretend to be so from my limited experience
as a Forum Admin this is only a suggestion to increase our SEO,

looks like a job for the Cool one

• maybe add  a sitemap to make it easier for google to find our content
  
• make sure our "robots.txt" file tells search engines whether they can access and therefore crawl parts of our site what to and what not to!
  
• If our  robots.txt file doesn't allow bots/crawlers/spiders crawling of our assets, it will harm how well our algorithms render and index our content
  
• Google Search Console has a friendly robots.txt generator to help you create this file if we do not already have one
  

Also increasing our Alexa ranking helps, you can't buy your polling position but a few minor
adjustments here and there and we can increase it.
